The Project
Canada Sports Hall of Fame has collaborated with SAIT students of the New Media of Production and Design Program to create digital and portable versions of their inhouse galleries. The goal of the new galleries would allow individuals and communities across the country to relive the iconic moments in Canada’s sports history.
My team was challenged with The Olympic & Paralympic Games Gallery. The gallery is designed to celebrate the five Olympic and Paralympic Games held in Canada ...- the 1976 Toronto Paralympic Games, the 1976 Montreal Olympic Games, the 1988 Calgary Olympic Games, the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Games and the 2010 Vancouver Paralympic Games.

02The 360° Partition
04Future Updates
Our vision for the Olympic and Paralympic Games Gallery incorporates a fourth aspect - augmented reality. This last element encompasses the concept of “reliving the moment”. Viewers would be able to use their mobile devices and AR technology to experience an additional layer of digital art tied to the 360 partition to further learn about the Olympic and Paralympic Games. It will enhance the experience and become recordable/downloadable mementos of the gallery.
An example of the technology and experience is executed by Artivive.
